Raw, aggressive, and sweetly melodic - keep you honest’s self-titled Indie Rock debut is about substance. About being new and fresh, but having the soul of a classic record. About being cool, but rejecting trendy. About songs that you’ll wear out before they wear thin. About the spirit of indie and staying unpolluted. About Me. About You. About Us. You’re Invited.

Based in Toronto, Ontario - keep you honest describes their music as having a “brit-rock vibe with an american aggression.” It all began as an independent recording project by Luke Adams in 2007. Over the course of the next year and a half, songs were written, songs were scrapped, songs were re-written, and eventually an 11 song album began to take shape. Rough recordings were laid down, and then, Johnny Dawson (bass) and Adrian DeGroot (drums) were brought on to make the project a full-band effort. Using their talents, the material was re-worked and brought to the next level.

The record as summed up by Adams - “ . . . is about life . . . REAL life. Not about how cool I am, how much money I (don’t) have, how I deserve respect, etc. It’s about floating on air when new love comes into your life, about wanting to be better than you are, about the times we hurt those we love and can’t take it back. It’s about new life, about second chances, about shared intimacy. It’s about substance.”

Now, with the album completed and a live-show fully honed, keep you honest is inviting you to tune in and watch their story play out. Driving beats, melodic vocals, ambient guitars, and a fuzzed-out bass should ensure you enjoy the ride.
