Diminished Faith was founded by Ray Wellman in 2005. He has been playing guitar for about 4 years, his style and ability would make you think otherwise, and has been singing since a very young age. Most of Wellman's songs stem from personal experiences while some formulate through the ease of putting pen to paper and seeing what comes out. This process usually results in dark and ominous sub-consicence driven lyrical content and the melodies strung through those lyrics are equivical. Simple plucked melodies complimented by smooth legato and tear jerking bends blend well to put you in a euphoric state of mind, and on the other end of the spectre hard, heavy, balls to the wall rock riffs are driven even harder by swept runs and ear deafening pinch harmonics. The liquid smooth and hard thumping bass lines are also written by Wellman. All this is further pushed by Wellman's strong vocal control that can deliver live, smooth vocal slides, sweet melodies, and gut wrenching screams.
