More Artist Details
Elliot Brown is a 24 year old musician from Northland, New Zealand (think Peter Jackson, Flight of The Conchords, sheep....) who has written for several bands including his old band The Stomps. Currently in the care of a psychiatric institution he is unable to perform his music live. His music tells of alcohol fueled break-ups, poverty, and a love of nature. Elliot's style is honest, catchy, melodic, seemingly simple, almost-traditional sounding at times, and often lyrical. While appealing to all ages his main market seems to be 20-40 years old on average. No two of his songs are alike so multiple listenings are recommended to first timers to his unusual, yet critically acclaimed original line-up. Elliot, labeled "lyric boy" by kiwi icon Andrew Fagan, has received regular airplay around the world on universtity campus stations, and on bigger stations at home in New Zealand and quite a few bands have covered his material. A recommended first song to listen to is Delirium Tremens-the title song of his debut album. Elliot's music can be purchased on iTunes and by mail-order. New Zealand poet Sam Hunt has given Elliot's music an outstanding review on national radio, and hundreds of other good reviews have followed.
Until he is deemed fit to perform in public again myspace, iTunes, and mail-ordering Delirium Tremens from his agent in LA are the only ways his music is obtainable. Enjoy!
