More Artist Details
Jeff Schinzing (J-1) is an American rapper. Born in Rochester NY on July 17, 1991. At the age of 11 he started to rap when he was forced to freestyle at a friends house. This friend was Rakiem Lee. Rakiem Lee went by the name of "Lights out". Lights out had many cousins, brothers, and friends that had already been introduced to the rap game. By the age of 12, J-1 started to get more interested and wrote freestyles. "I use to download beats off the computer and just rap to em at the time". A friend of Jeffs, Jared Goff was really into producing and recording. He picked up J-1 with "Pimped out Records" in 2003. The record label was not a success at all. They ended up recording one freestyle and the quality was not good at all. Around that time, Lights out had gotten thrown into prison for grand theft auto. J-1 stopped rapping for awhile, until he started to get more into it. He met many people who could help him. He started working with Beat producer (Benny Blanco) Ben Wolf. He was also working on a label (OUT DA TRUNK RECORDS/ OUT DA TRUNK ENT.) J-1 started to get more of an idea on what the world needed. They needed a REAL PUNCHLINE RAPPER. Currently in 2010, J-1 has decided to update his music. Be on the look out for future concert dates, and ExploZion MAY drop. Be on the look out for his newest mixtape "The Beginning of The End" told to drop sometime in June/July. This would be his first actual CD. Will most likely be on (datpiff) Guest appearances from artists such as Siryss Da King, Thrilla, Uncle Murda, Papoose and other artists.
