Rose of York are a 3 piece Rock outfit comprising vocalist/guitarist Chris Paton, bassist Jason Ambler and Darrel Waugh on drums. Developing their sound and stage presence through years of live performance around Sydney, the trio owes their musical diversity to an eclectic range of influences. The individual musical achievements of the band include airtime on Nova 96.9 and a Musicoz Development Songwriting Award. After refining their sound and songs over the last 12 months, Rose of York have recently finished recording their debut E.P with Luke Webb and will launch it in 2009. While anthemic and melodic rock will be used by many to define their edgy blend of raw overtones mixed with pop-rock sensibilities, it is only after witnessing their live show coupled with the energy and integrity that is created, that you can appreciate the years they have spent performing to live audiences.
