It was October 1995, and me and my college buddy Sean Begley were sitting on my bed playing songs on the guitar.

Sean said it was a shame I wasn't in a band anymore and I complained that the guitarists I had been in bands with were either unreliable or not up to scratch. I told him there was only one guitarist I'd heard of - and seen and heard playing in gigs and at jams over the years - who I considered was good enough to start a new band up with - Jeffrey George.

Sean smiled at me and said 'I know Jeff, and he lives only half a mile away'. We packed up the guitars and walked - in the pitch black - to a cottage down a cobbled stone lane, only a few hundred metres from my house. We knocked on the door, and Jeff poked his head thru the upstairs window. 'Well look who's just turned up on my fucking doorstep' he said.

And that was more or less the minute that my 'music career' was born.....
